About Me - Narcissistic Abuse Therapist

Hello! I am Phil, a BACP registered counsellor based in Devon, UK. I work collaboratively and compassionately with people recovering from narcissistic abuse / antagonistic relational stress.

It was my own life experiences, particularly with narcissistic abuse, that eventually inspired me to pursue counselling as a profession. Like many counsellors, my desire to help others has been informed by personal challenges I've faced. Through my personal experiences with counselling, I've gained firsthand appreciation for how therapy can make a difference when facing life's challenges.

I am an integrative therapist who blends Gestalt, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Polyvagel Theory and Internal Family Systems. I am trauma-informed and attachment-informed.

Philip Pell - Online Narcissistic Abuse counsellor based in Exeter, Devon

I have gained valuable experience through diverse placements working with people recovering from domestic abuse, supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and providing community counselling. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to creating a safe, non-judgemental space for all clients, regardless of their background or circumstances.

What drives my practice is a fundamental belief in the human capacity for growth and healing. I've witnessed this remarkable potential both in my own journey and in the clients I've had the privilege to work with. No matter what brings you to counselling, I believe that with the right support, you can discover new perspectives, develop healthier patterns, and move forward with greater self-understanding and strength.

I look forward to connecting with you.
